Journey 75 - By Pauline Lawson
My house of wild clouds Of dream wood tree. Between the shafts of concrete blocks A sliver of hope in city lights, Where no one digs. Clover doorways Whispering weeds Where fairies sing "For-get-me-nots"             .......................... I  shall impregnate the earth. From the wastelands a tree shall sprout forth. From a crop of 'Uselessness' A veritable harvest of truth shall be seen. The face of the earth shall be covered By a mantle of grace. The weak places made strong. A flower  will struggle from the rock of hardheartedness. Mighty trees will walk upon the earth. Birds will find nests for their young. Twice in the history of the world, a mighty oak takes root..... Where the EAGLES gather - there is the tree. .......................... Stones memories sacred reminders. Stories in rubble. Weeping stones - building blocks. Caress endeavours. Cementing towers. Reaching dreams. Interior castle. .......................... Your letters little pearls of hope. Labour love. A memory box. Living aura on a silk cushion. You melt in my mouth. I shall melt in yours. How hungry are you? Rose glasses  - September wine. .......................... I will take with me my suitcase full of stars. The birthright of my imagination. The frankincense of my thoughts That stand still in the  awe of beauty. My telescopic sight of frontiers to be crossed. My creative  impulse born aloft. Not bottled - uncorked. .......................... The violet of the storm waiting to be heard. Purple velvet stalking. Moonlight garden. A compass of stars. Dreams unfolding. A gauze whisper ... Listen. .......................... A new tree shall shelter nations not enclosed With no names. Nothing can up root, cross pollinate. It needs no protection from wind and cold from blasts of ignorance. It lives in the eye of the storm. Do not look up to the sky, but deep down into the earth of Human potential. Gaze on this the sap will rise - branch out. It will shelter nations with love. .......................... All seemed calm! Splash... A stone thrown into my sweet contentment. Muddy waters. Rings expanding. Be still, waite, stand firm, don't disturb the silt. The clearing will come. Make new the morning star. Look before another stone hurtles past. Look into that pond of illusion. Hold on with an open palm. .......................... Here is a piece of sky. A stone. A hand. A drop of water. A leaf floating on red. Stones yellow like the sun. A welsh cottage in a sea of dandelions. Blue skies reflected in a kitchen window. A door the colour of lavender twilight. A stone keepers cottage. Will I find you there?

Speaking Silks an Odyssey

#shortfilm intertwining #photos, #videos, #NatureSounds, #flute and #poetry from artist Pauline Lawsons #abstract #silk #banner collection. Photodex Behance Colossal Sunshine Coast BC Canada ZOOM Hardman, “It has been a great honour to work with such a talented cast of artists. Pauline has been perfecting her artistry for over 30 years. The collection of 9 silk banners are looking for a home. We believe there is someone in the universe that has a grand enclosure looking for 9 silk banners. Please help us unite them by sharing the short film, Silks Speaking an Odyssey.” Photographer/ Filmmaker Ingeborg Suzanne Hardman spent the last several months in production producing a short film “Speaking Silks an Odyssey.” The entire filming and photography was shot on Heritage Playhouse Theatre stage. The black staging gave the silks a tone enriching the fanciful abstract scenes. Hardman, “It was important for me to enhance the ethereal quality of the silks in the short film. I struggled with showing both the strength of the imagery and the whimsy of the silks movement. It took a lot of time finding the right balance” The results are transitions, pans and zooms seamlessly stitched together with light leaks created in Photodex, ProShow Producer. The music for the visuals was created by Lawsons friend and Sunshine Coast resident, composer Christopher Bernetchez. Hardman, “The nature sounds and the haunting flute crescendos weaving in and out of the visuals enhanced the films ethereal quality however, I wanted the viewer to have a more spiritual experience. This is when I decided to add a voice. I needed a voice that had a deep full tone to read poetry scribed on the silk banners.” I remembered hearing Dale Wilson readings at my neighbor’s home Mike McMillan musician/sound technician. Dales voice was exactly what I needed to complete the film. Hardman, “When the hairs on the back of our neck tingled both Pauline and myself knew our collaboration was a creative success.”
